In partnership with the Groupe International Vétérinaire (GIV), VWB/VSF is supporting a project to expand a veterinary public health and domestic animal disease prevention program in Nunavik. This spring, Université de Montréal, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FMV) student Magaly Bégin-Pépin will be working with Manon Simard, a parasitologist from the Société Makivik, and Dr. Cécile Aenishaenslin, to assess veterinary services in the region and the what is needed to expanding and maintain a comprehensive disease prevention program that will monitor and prevent the emergence of zoonoses like rabies.
